A View from the Inside
6.2.08 | After years of experiencing the building through AutoCAD layers and
endless combinations of PowerPoint slides, I was finally walking through
the door of Haworth Center in Holland, MI. I floated past the
greeters in a stupor, and felt my knees go weak. Is this waking life, or
am I trapped in a Perkins+Will rendering?
Haworth HQ Unveiled
5.26.08 | Sustainable design got a very visible boost this week with the opening of
Haworth's radically reworked headquarters building. Heralded
during its design and construction phases as a model of environmental
sensitivity, the structure unveiled on May 21 delivers convincingly on
its promise.
Colebrook, Bosson, Saunders Locates in NY Design Center
5.26.08 | Colebrook, Bosson, Saunders caught my attention over ten years ago
when I was trying to find a way to get an 85lb, 21 inch CRT off of my
desk. While flat-screen monitors were not price-attractive in those days,
at least CBS was thinking along the same lines as I was, and was offering
more elegance than was typically of the upright computer carts found in
hospitals.
Industrial Buildings at Office Quality
5.5.08 | Introduction
Most architects are faced with significant competition when they decide to compete for a large industrial facility design project; when the process includes both architects and design-build contractors this competition often becomes both more severe and more polarized. And neither the design firm nor the developer is often able to step out of their metaphor for industrial design quality.

Milliken Contract Opens New York Showroom
3.17.08 | The all-new Milliken Contract New York showroom debuted February 27.
Located on the 26th floor at 875 Avenue of the Americas, the
showroom was designed to be an example of sustainable design in the
workplace. Transparent interior walls keep the space open to views of the Empire
State Building, the Statue of Liberty and Times Square, allowing natural
light to enhance nearly every aspect of the showroom.
BGA, Empire and Frezza Canoodle in NYC
3.10.08 |A three-some is occurring in New York City. Bill Gross & Associates, Empire Office and Frezza have
been getting awful cozy lately, and an unveiling of Frezza's new New York
City display space in the Bill Gross & Associates showroom located at
257 Park Avenue South was the perfect place for the three to show each
other off to all their friends.
